Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas back home with our families. It was a little crazy driving all around, but it sure beat me sitting at home with Cam at work! Hudson still didn't understand it as much as I thought he would, but in a way it was nice. I figure we'll take full advantage of our kids not asking for everything under the sun while we can! Santa did find his way to our house though, and everyone was extremely happy with what he brought.

So here's how our holidays were spent: On Christmas Eve we went to my parent's house, as we had already done our get together with Cam's family the previous week. (It's hard getting so many people together!) We had a nice dinner, and then for the first time ever, dressed up the kids for a nativity program. It was so fun and will be our new tradition from now on! There was such a sweet spirit in the home that night.

Our angels, Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, and shepherds

Someone better have a baby before next year so we have a Baby Jesus! (And it won't be me! :) )

I really wanted to do a chocolate fountain for dessert, and even though I got a hard time for it, it was a hit!

We drove home that night so we could do our own Christmas in the morning before going back over to Tremonton. Here are the kids early Christmas morning seeing what Santa brought. Hudson got a big Tonka dump truck and loader that he loves, and Kennady got some cute baby toys and clothes.

Back at my parent's house, we had fun opening up presents and eating breakfast together. My parents are so generous and always do their best to make holidays special. Thanks mom and dad!

We then left from there and drove straight to the Hoyt's in Smithfield. We enjoyed seeing everyone there and visiting on the phone with Ashley, who is on a mission. Cam's mom is so creative with her gifts. This year each couple got a binder with an idea for a date each month, along with the things we will need to go on the date. Such a fun idea, and definitely something we will all benefit from!

Me and Kennady

It was late by the time we got back to our house again Christmas night, and we still hadn't opened presents from each other! The kids weren't really interested by this time, but had fun playing with their new toys. Cam got me a tripod, so we attempted a family picture in our PJs before going to bed.

The best I could do!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

We have been thoroughly enjoying the holidays so far! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and spent a lot of time with both of our families. We feel so spoiled being together after having spent so many previous holidays away and with Cam working. Cam left a few days after Thanksgiving for training out of state, so I then went back over to "Tree Town". He flew back into town on Friday, so the kids and I met him down in Salt Lake. We had a great time looking at the lights at Temple Square with some friends of ours. Thankfully it was only cold, not freezing! It's been a great few weeks, but I am exhausted and grateful to be back home with my hubby. We need to rest up before Christmas gets here! Happy Holidays!!!

The kids made turkeys, but Hudson ate his before I got a good picture!

Kennady had a blow out, and then we decided to try hats on her and take her picture before she was dressed!

I love Temple Square!

7 Months

I feel really bad. I think I did a post for every month with Hudson, and now I'm just scrambling to keep up every few months, at best, with Kennady. I'm definitely not one of those super moms! In my defense, I swear she was just born yesterday. You know that feeling where you wake up one day and realize your kids have grown up and you wonder where your babies went? I've been feeling that a lot lately, and I hate it!

Anyways, we were a month behind with the Dr visit because of our move, so she had a 7 month well check instead of 6 months. She is 27.5 inches long and weighs 18.1 pounds, which is exactly what Hudson weighed at four months! Still in the higher percentile ranges, and we love her chunk! She is rolling all over the place right now. She can get to whatever she wants, so I think she's pretty content with not crawling yet. She is enjoying solid foods most of the time, but still prefers breast feeding. She has four teeth, and I'm pretty sure there are a few more on their way. Some of my friends that don't get to see us have asked about her hair. I would say she has light brown hair. It's definitely not the really dark hair she had at birth, but it's darker than Hudson's. I'm so glad she never went through a bald stage either! She is so, so happy most all of the time and smiles a lot. She is very content to just sit on the floor and play, which is very nice for me! She adores Hudson and is so good to let him play with her and give her kisses. I think she laughs the most and gives the best smiles to him. It's so sweet, I love watching them together. We love Kennady so much and are so grateful for her sweet spirit in our home. We seriously couldn't ask for a better baby!

Happy Halloween!

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween! This was my best attempt at a picture of Hudson and Kennady together. I'm not a huge fan of Halloween, but having kids sure does make it more fun. Plus, we get to eat Hudson's candy!

Making up for lost time

We had such a wonderful weekend! We are getting so spoiled here with both of our parents wanting to watch our kids, but are taking full advantage! Friday night Cam and I went to the temple while my parents babysat for us. The flowers were beautiful, so we decided we would go back the next day so I could take some pictures of the kids.

We went to the USU parade the next morning, which was very fun. Hudson loves parades! He is the best little cheerer ever! See...

We then went right up to the temple before the rain started. To our surprise, they were pulling all of the flowers out right then! I was so disappointed, but I ran out and got a few in a spot that they hadn't pulled out yet.

Our weekend continued with Cam's mom watching the kids that night so I could take Cam out for dinner for his birthday. We went to Maddox, and it was so, so yummy! Then on Sunday after church we went over to my parent's house for dinner. Monday was Cam's birthday, so our fun just continued. The kids and I brought him balloons at work and then took him to lunch, and then we went out to his parent's to celebrate with dinner and caramel brownies. Phew! Did you get all of that?! We are very happy to be back home, even if there is already snow! :)

20 things

What do you do when you need to blog but can't decide what to write about or feel like there's nothing too exciting going on? Well, I decided I'd just write down 5 random facts about each of us right now.

Let's start with Kennady:
-I can't believe it, but she is now 7 months old!
-She is currently getting in her top teeth. You wouldn't know it though by her happy attitude.
-She got so sick this week throwing up, but is all better now.
-Has been waking up sometimes at night, which is driving me nuts! She has slept through the night basically since we came home from the hospital.
-We can't get enough of this cute girl!

Hudson:
-Has started talking more, but I wish he still would say more instead of whining sometimes!
-Is loving playing with Daddy more often.
-Also got sick. :(
-Loves all of the trucks that go by our house each day.
-Got out the dish soap and poured almost the entire bottle into the dishwasher dispenser today. Crazy kid!

Cam:
-Is really liking his new job.
-No longer gets phone calls 24/7!
-Is so good to watch the kids for me when I need a break.
-Has a birthday coming up!
-Is the greatest dad and husband!

Mary:
-Is loving being closer to her family and friends!
-Took a photography class and is hoping to get better.
-Has loved the beautiful fall, but is dreading winter.
-Is so happy to have her husband back!
-Misses FL

Well, there you have it! Here are some random pictures I've taken of the kids lately while practicing shooting in manual mode. There are more of Kennady because she doesn't move around as much!
