Merry Christmas!

We hope everyone had a great Christmas! We had a great time spending time with family. It's always fun to watch the kids open presents and Marlie looked so cute in her Christmas outfit that we got her! I was very surprised that Cam got me a Bosch. He loves homemade bread and I look forward to making lots for him now! He accidentaly saw his present in the car, but still gave me a good face for a picture! Here are some of our pictures of Christmas.

Our new niece!

My sister Keri Beth had her baby late Thursday night. Her name is Marlie Rae and she is SO cute! I hope my babies don't weigh 8 lbs 13 oz like her, but she definitely has me wanting my own baby here even more than before! I'm so glad I have a sister who lets me be so involved. I love being an aunt and look forward to becoming a mom come June. I am now almost 16 weeks along! It's gone by pretty quickly thus far, but most of that is probably because I have felt so well. We had some complications a few weeks ago, but the baby is fine and we just keep praying that things will go smoothly. I know my sister will post lots about the baby on her own blog, but I still wanted to show a picture of her with me. I love holding her! I'm sure there will be a lot more later about this new baby that we are all so excited about.

The Forgotten Carols

Early on this week was a bit stressful for us, as our home buyer almost backed out the day before we were supposed to close! We got everything figured out and we did close, (YAY!!) but we definitely needed the spirit we felt when we went to The Forgotten Carols with my parents. I LOVE going to this! Cam and I had never gone together, which was an added treat this year. It really helped me feel like it was Christmas and think more about the things that are important. We got to share a bit of Christmas cheer the next day which really put the icing on the cake.
I've been teaching at a school and while talking about Christmas, I found out that one girl's family didn't have a tree. The teacher contacted her parents for me and they said they would like one, but couldn't afford it. Well, I wanted to get a new tree after this year and since we were moving, I wasn't planning on putting ours up this year. So Cam met me at lunch one day and we took over the tree and put it up for this family. I must say that I am so grateful Cam knows Spanish because it came in handy that day! I don't tell you this so you think we're great and everything. I just would like to encourage everyone to do something for someone else. It made us feel so good and made it feel more like the Christmas season. And if you ever have the chance, go see The Forgotten Carols!
