Disneyland!

We were going to head home on Monday and stay the night in Vegas, but then my mom had a great idea to take the kids to Disneyland on Monday and drive straight home on Tuesday. I was pretty hesitant to take Kennady and felt bad going without Cam, but knowing how much Hudson would love it I couldn't say no. My sister and her family were going for 3 days, so spending their first day with them was perfect. The kids had so much fun riding rides together and we were all able to help each other out. It was the perfect time and we practically walked onto everything! Both Hudson and Kennady LOVED it!!! Their enthusiasm was so adorable and I had to keep fighting back tears because they were so cute. Kennady did much better than I anticipated and even took a nap in her stroller for a bit. Hudson is still talking about it and keeps telling Cam he needs to go with us.

We're here!

Dumbo

Merry-Go-Round

Teacups

It's a Small World

Mickey!!! For his souvenir, Hudson chose this stuffed Mickey and now has to take it everywhere!

Kenna ran right up and gave Mickey a huge hug. It was so cute!

Inside Mickey's house

Minnie

Goofy

Pluto

The Rockets! It was so funny watching my mom on this ride! She was scared!

Tinkerbell

My parents with Kennady

Hudson and Marlie taking a rest. These two have so much fun together!

Love my kids!

Kenna heard some music and just started dancing. Everyone was stopping to watch her and we were all just cracking up!

Watching the parade. This was probably my favorite part of the day.

Kenna waved to everyone. It was so cute! Both of my kids kept getting waves and kisses from the characters.

We rode on a lot more rides, and Hudson's favorites I don't even have pictures of. They were the Buzz Lightyear ride and Finding Nemo. By the time we got to dinner, we were all exhausted. Hudson told me he was tired, laid down on my lap, and was out for the night.

This was such a fun trip! We made so many great memories and can't wait to take Cam back with us next time. Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth!

A Litte Escape

Before I go on about our little trip, I've got to say that I could sure use an escape after this week! (Don't read if you have a sensitive stomach!) Kennady got sick a week ago, threw up for 3 days, then just when she started to feel better I woke up sick one morning. It was the first time I've thrown up while I've been pregnant. Go figure! Then the next morning Cam and I get a lovely surprise in bed when Hudson came into our room, got into our bed, and puked everywhere. Nice. By this time I was ready to throw in the towel! Oh and don't worry, that happened one more time, too. All I can say is I am so glad I have a good washer! Luckily I think we're all on the upside now.

So, back to the middle of April.......When my mom told me that she and my dad were going to California to watch my brother in a race I knew we had to go! I figured Cam wouldn't be able to take time off work (and I was right) but my parents assured me that they didn't mind me and the kids tagging along. So we took off and drove the 12 hours to my grandpa's house. The kids did so great! We stayed at Poppa Charlie's house and had a blast! The kids love he and Shirley, his wife. It was so fun to see them interact with each other.

On Saturday we went to see Marlon race. Hudson thought it was so neat watching a real race and wanted to go down on the track himself. He didn't get the qualifying time he needed that day, but has since done it! so excited for him and hope he makes it to the Olympics!

After the race we went to my Uncle Val's house and had a wonderful lunch with everyone who came to support Marlon. We then headed down to the beach. It was very overcast, but we were still happy to see the ocean and had a fun dinner for Marlon's birthday. It was such a fun day!

Easter 2012

We had a super busy, fun, family filled Easter this year. We spent conference Sunday at my parent's house and did our Easter celebration with everyone then. My mom worked so hard to make all of the kids matching skirts and ties. They turned out great!

The Shirley grandchildren in their matching outfits.

My mom broke out a bunch of old hats she has. Everyone had fun trying them on.

Grandma and Grandpa with Addie, Kenna, and Drew.

The Saturday before Easter we had a fun dinner and Easter egg hunt with Cam's family. It's always a great time with all of them! On Easter Sunday we let the kids dig into their baskets before church. Both were most excited about new flip flops!

This was the best I could get after church.

My handsome boy.

Kennady loves her Daddy!

We headed back over to my parent's after church. The kids broke out the baseball gear and had so much fun playing catch with each other.

Hudson and Marlie were so funny to watch. These two are best buds!

Phew! It was a lot of driving, but we had a wonderful few weekends celebrating Easter. I loved talking to Hudson about the real reason we celebrate it and seeing him start to understand things more. It's a wonderful time of year!

Happy Birthday Kennady!

My baby girl has grown up so fast! We had a fun few days celebrating the big #2.

First, I made pancakes for breakfast and Hudson and I sang to her.

Later I took her for a treat and a walk around the temple during the day while we were waiting for Hudson. I wanted to take some pictures of her, but I was not well prepared and my camera died after 1 shot. Bummer!

We had one of her favorites, chicken and rice for dinner, and then when Cam got home we went to get frozen yogurt.

Kennady got a trike for her birthday. She loves getting pushed around, since she's too short to peddle.

On Friday we met my mom, sis, and Jenn at the park to play and have cupcakes. Yummy!

Then on Sunday we went to my parents to celebrate with my niece McKayla, who turned 14 this week! It was a very fun day with family. Kenna loved her cake!

We love you so much Kennady! You are my little peanut! You are only in the 30% for your height and weight. (25 pounds, 33 inches) You are so smart and talk very well. Papa was so surprised this weekend to hear you say "Don't do that!" You have such a fun personality and are definitely all girl. You love to get dressed in the morning and will cry if I don't put a bow in your hair. You like to watch Elmo, and you have loved playing outside lately. You are a great sleeper and take a long nap during the day. You love food and will eat practically anything. Your dad and I feel so blessed to have you as a daughter, and your big brother has adored you from day one. I know you will be a great big sister to the baby. We hope you felt very special as we celebrated your birthday.

The secret is out!

I found out that I am pregnant while Cam and I were in St. George with his family. It was our anniversary. How perfect! I gave him this to tell him. I was already doing the frame, I just had to change what I was going to say.

We are super excited and anxious. The thought of three kids is kinda scary! I have been more sick than with my other two, but still grateful it's just nausea. I actually feel worse at night, which I think is weird. I'm looking forward to being in my second trimester in less than a week so I can hopefully have my energy back and feel better. I've been freaking out at how fast I'm starting to show, but now that it's out, I'm not as worried about it. (There's not much I can do about it anyways!)

Now to add to the news.... we are building a house in East Layton! This decision came after many, many trips looking at houses and areas closer to where Cam works everyday. He leaves around 5:30 am and we're lucky when he gets home at 7. (Weeks like this week, I'm happy if he just gets home before the kids go to bed.) Cutting his drive down a lot should hopefully equal to more time at home with us, so we are really happy. I decided to just start off going to a Dr. down there since we should be moving in June sometime. I figured if I don't have to change Dr.s too it will minimize the changes going on. They should be digging our hole on Monday, so we are very excited about that as well. We have lots of work to do before this new little one comes, but that's how Cam and I seem to roll. The crazier the better!

I love....

Where did January go?! I can't believe that I didn't get my camera out once! I need to really quit slacking or there will be no pictures for my calendar next year! Luckily I do have a few on my phone. We had a pretty good month, considering it is January. (Bleh.) Cam and I went to St. George with his parents and siblings for a quick get together. It was a lot of fun and I felt like I got to know them a lot better. Our anniversary was that weekend, so we used that trip to celebrate as well. 7 years! Woot! Woot! It was so nice to spend some time with Cam! We also got to catch up with a few of my friends from high school-bonus! All in all, it was a wonderful weekend and our kids didn't want to leave my parent's house.

I feel like my kids are growing up so fast, and I hate it! They are both so fun right now and bring so much joy to my life. I am not as patient as I would like to be, but I love them and don't know what I would do without Hudson's hugs every day and Kennady making me smile just because she's so dang cute. I love being a mom! I can't listen to Taylor Swift's song Never Grow Up without tearing up!

"Oh, darling, don't you ever grow up, don't you ever grow up
Just stay this little
Oh, darling, don't you ever grow up, don't you ever grow up
It could stay this simple
I won't let nobody hurt you
Won't let no one break your heart
No, no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up, never grow up"

I love my simple life! I love how Cam loves me and tries to understand me....I love watching my kids learn and grow....I love hearing them giggle in their beds at night....I love that we can be together forever....yes, that's what it's all about!

Christmas 2011

This is not all of it, but I've been waiting to get some pictures from my parents. In my family, we are all picture fanatics and I have learned that I can leave my camera at home and let everyone else take them for me-nice! The only bad thing is like now, I don't have them to post. I'll have to do another post with more later, but in the mean time, here is what I have.

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas! It was so much fun with the kids, and I can't wait for it again this year! We went to my mom and dad's on Christmas Eve, replayed the nativity with the kids, and had a great time playing games. Cam and I decided to just go ahead and stay the night this year since it was so much driving last year. I'm glad we did because it was a lot of fun staying up with my sister and Kim. We woke up bright and early Christmas morning, opened presents with my family, had breakfast, and then drove home to see what Santa brought to our house. The kids were very excited! We rushed to get to church, but it was nice to go on Christmas Day. When we came home, the kids desperately needed naps, so we put them down and I cleaned up while Cam rested with the kids. :) When they got up, we finished our presents and then headed out to Cam's parents house for the evening. We ended up going back over to my parent's that night to sleep over again, and once again had a great time! It was so great to spend so much time with our families! Our kids love playing with their cousins and I am always up for some great food and games!

I love to have Hudson and Kennady match. Here they are in their Christmas outfits!

Ah, so sweet!

Hudson opening his last present. When I asked him if there was something he wanted but hadn't gotten yet, he said, "Yes, a big Buzz!"

And he got it! So happy!

Kennady couldn't tell us what she wanted, but I knew she would love a baby!

It's the perfect size and she is a great little mommy!

I didn't get a family pic, but here's one that's close. :) I love these three!!!
